Emergencies will be seen promptly during normal hours at the discretion of the consulting Vet.

If possible always phone the Clinic first so that staff can give appropriate advise and be prepared for the arrival of the patient 

Out of hours you will either get through to the duty vet directly or an answering machine will give you a number at which the duty vet can
be contacted.

Please note that this number varies so always ring Victory Square Veterinary Clinic first. 24 hour emergency cover is provided on a rotational  basis in partnership with the Halifax Veterinary Centre and the
Stoke Veterinary Clinic.

In the event your pet is attended to by another practice please settle the cost of the initial treatment with them.  Any ongoing treatment required will be carried out by Victory Square Veterinary Clinic.

Some of the more commonly seen emergencies include accidents or incidents like bite wounds, cuts, poisoning, car accidents and allergic reactions.   Any situation where your pet is in pain or distress or  unusually quiet may indicate they need veterinary attention.

If you are not sure if you have an emergency or not, it is best to telephone for advice rather than to wait.
